Content Description
Consists primarily of photographs of activities and personnel connected to the Navy Reserve Officers' Training Corps program at the University of Louisville. Includes a limited amount of correspondence and certificates, as well as two editions of the Masthead (a local ROTC yearbook) and the records of the first NROTC student. The NROTC program at Louisville began during World War II as the V-12 program. It was decommissioned in 1979.

Scope and Contents
The University of Louisville V-12 Papers date from 1943 to 1994 with the bulk of materials containing correspondence leading up to the 50th Anniversary Reunion of the V-12 Naval Officer Training Program in October 1993. Much effort was expended in seeking alumni of the wartime program, developing an appropriate 50th Anniversary celebration at the University of Louisville, and gathering ideas from similar V-12 Reunions at other universities and colleges.
