This .25 linear foot collection consists of LaVal T. Duncan's files relating to the Red Cross (Community) Hospital from 1957-1965, plus one folder of minutes and reports from other organizations.
The scrapbooks contain clippings and some correspondence related to the hospital and its business manager/administrator, Houston A. Baker. Fund drives in 1945 and 1948, as well as dedicatory exercises for a new addition to the hospital in 1951, are documented. Microfilmed by the University of Louisville, 1976.
Wilson's papers document his teaching career including publications of the Kentucky Negro Education Association and the Kentucky Teachers Association, reports of the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights, and correspondence and audits for the Red Cross Hospital in Louisville dating from 1965 to 1970.
