Papers related to Harry J. Martin’s work as manager of Louisville’s Macauley Theatre from 1922-1925 and of the Brown Theatre from 1925 to 1931. The folders include correspondence, mostly letters to the editors of Louisville newspapers about theatre history with two letters from his friend photographer R.G. Potter; photographs, including one of Martin as a boy and of his mother; account sheets for “Harry J. Martin Attractions National Theatre 1931-1932;” a 1966 typescript “Stories concerning the theatre in Louisville with yearns of the people involved,” and an account of Martin’s efforts to publish it.
