Includes material relating to a proposed reorganization of the College and the University in the 1930s and a report on "student mortality" (i.e., retention and completion) in the period 1932-1938 which was completed under the Works Progress Administration (WPA). In addition, there is material relating to the Cooperative Study in General Education, a project undertaken with the American Council on Education (ACE). This material contains a substantial amount of correspondence between A&S dean J.J. Oppenheimer, the ACE, and deans and presidents of various colleges and universities.
