William A. and Fannie Spindle ledger book
A ledger book divided into three sections: 1991-1912; 1942-1947; and 1937-1950. The earliest portion of the volume consists of the minutes, 1911-1912, of the Parkland Improvement Club maintained by lawyer William A. Spindle. The center section of the volume served as a general ledger recording the monthly personal expenses and the income and expenses, 1942-1947, associated with rental property presumably owned by Spindle's widow, Fannie. The last section provides a detailed accounting of rental properties sold along with a list of expenses incurred in restoring the homes following Louisville's 1937 Flood.
