Personal essays written by Kate Cunningham as part of the Sisters in History Project. Sisters in History sought to capture the stories of women who led the struggles for equal rights for women, minorities, and others in the 1960s and beyond - in their own words. Cunningham's story includes her involvement with the open housing movement, the peace movement, with the Kentucky chapter of the ACLU, with victims of domestic violence, as a labor attorney, in support of a women's right to birth control and abortion, and in connection with environmental concerns.
