Content Description
A scrapbook, largely containing newspaper clippings from Louisville papers. The information relates predominately to the inter-related Maxwell, Helm, and Grinstead families, and includes articles on distilleries, marriages, deaths, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. The scrapbook also includes D.A.R. memorabilia and applications, and related correspondence, and notes written on W.E. Grinstead Wholesale Grocer's forms. Also includes a certificate of membership in the Society of Cincinnati for John McKinney, dated 31 October 1785. The certificate, which is mounted on cardboard, has the name "Mrs. H.C. Grinstead" written in pencil on the back.
