Content Description
Magazine of the University of Louisville School of Law. The original Brandeis Brief was a successor to the Louisville Law Examiner and was a student-run publication. There were five issues: 1:1 (Winter 1992-1993), 1:2 (Spring 1994), 2:1 (Winter 1994-1995), 3:1 (Winter 1996), and 3:2 (Winter 1996-1997). In 2000, after a hiatus, the publication was revived and printed by the Office of Communications and Development (internally to the law school). There were seven issues under the name Brandeis Brief: Winter 2000, Fall 2001, Fall 2002, Fall 2003, Fall 2004, Fall 2005, and Fall 2006. In 2007, it was renamed University of Louisville Law, but was otherwise identical with four additional issues: Fall 2007 (actually published 2007), 2008-2009 (published in 2009), 2009-2010 (2010), and 2010-2011 (2011). In 2012, University of Louisville Law was replaced with The Dean’s Newsletter, an eight paged letter-sized tabloid. It had three issues: Fall 2012, Fall 2013, and Fall 2014. (Note that there were other Dean’s Newsletters and similar publications which were different from the Brandeis Brief). 2015 saw a return to the name Brandeis Brief. It was first published in Fall 2015 and annually since then. The 2020, issue returned to a magazine format and was made available online through the Issuu platform.
