"A Call to Statesmanship," Kansas City Urban League,, April 20, 1960

 Collection Subcomponent
Arranged in chronological order.

Frank L. Stanley, Sr., gave many speeches. He was an effective public speaker, a former college varsity debater, a man of influence, and probably a natural salesman and showman. The groups he addressed were varied. They included commencements, fraternal organizations, practicing journalists, journalism classes, church groups, social workers, athletic groups, and banquets. He tailored his topic to the occasion. As president of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity from 1955 to 1957, he traveled throughout the United States. He spoke to every local Alpha Phi Alpha chapter.

The speeches, and miscellaneous notes from other public appearances, are arranged in chronological order. Title, occasion, and date are noted, when available. Undated material has been divided into topics, which include civil rights and journalism.
