Identifier: Atlanta & West Point _ A32954
Correspondence from presidents/chairmen of the railroad, officers, department heads, and the public at large are included in this extremely large series. The letters are divided into two subseries; numbered and unnumbered. The numbered correspondence is organized by railroad name first, followed by the number assigned by the originating office, and then the folder title. The unnumbered correspondence is listed by the title given by the originating department or by folder contents. Railroads have been identified in the twentieth century correspondence when possible as well as special folder items. Very few letters exist from the nineteenth century.
