Historical materials on various railroad events, persons, and concerns are included in the articles subseries. The majority of the newspaper clippings date from the late twentieth century and recall railroad history. The immense reference materials subseries incorporates information from many secondary sources extending from reports to myriad aspects of historical railroad data. The secondary information encompasses many subjects ranging from railroads and operating procedures to rail destinations, events, commodities and equipment. Box numbers 162 through 174 are arranged alphabetically by topic.
Conditions Governing Access
Most of the collection is open for research; however, access to some records, notably board of directors minutes and correspondence less than 50 years old, is restricted. Use of other materials may be restricted due to fragility.
