The overwhelming amount of material dates from 1964-1969.The records are particularly relevant to the Louisville cultural community, for they trace the history of a one-man operation that developed into one of national recognition. Scope and Contents Included in this thirty-nine linear foot collection are slides and other photographic documentation of Kentucky Quilts. During the period these papers cover, KQP was located at several different sites and some files were removed for storage. At times, several people kept files of similar papers; thus files at first glance sometimes appear to be duplicates. Griffith concerning the validity of copyright renewal on the Griffith film Birth of a Nation. The record group includes three series: background material, exhibits, and legal briefs and opinions.

Content Description The collection contains a published booklet of A time remembered and a typescript of the memoir as well. Knight's reminiscences, A time remembered, described his childhood in Sharpsburg, Bath County, Kentucky. There is also a typescript of another work, Litewise, composed of fiction and light verse.
