This collection documents the activities of the League of Women Voters of Louisville/Jefferson County from 1920 to 1980 and includes organizational records, program files, minutes and proceedings from conventions and general councils, publications, photographs, and ephemera.

Scope and Contents This collection consists largely of meeting minutes, although a variety of other materials are available, particularly from the Louisville Area Chamber of Commerce. The earliest material is from the Louisville Board of Trade, and consists of minutes (1862-1944 with some gaps), Board of Trade Journals, and information relating to the consolidation with the Commercial Club. The Commercial Club materials cover the period 1880-1916, and consists primarily of minutes from the period 1901-1916....

Scope and Contents The fifty-one volumes of City of Louisville Municipal Reports, 1866-1916 preserved on seventeen rolls of microfilm constitute a significant resource for urban history. Each published annual report brings together submissions from local government and government-related agencies, including some thirty messages from the mayor.
