Brief Description of Collection

Office of Academic Planning and Accountability (OAPA) administrative files on program accreditation and reviews, community engagement, and affiliated centers and institutes including Simmons College. OAPA is under the Office of the Executive Vice President and University Provost and oversees the areas of institutional research and planning, institutional effectiveness, and accreditation and academic planning.

Content Description

Personnel records maintained by the Office of University Counsel for administrators of the University of Louisville and individuals employed by the University's athletics program. Note that some materials cover individuals who also have faculty personnel files (see accession 1981-067).

Scope and Contents

This 23.5 linear foot collection, dates from 1959 to 1997. The bulk of the collection documents Barber's teaching and administrative work at the University of Louisville along with his professional activity outside the university.

Content Description Board of Trustees minutes, including subcommittee meeting minutes. Volume 13 (February 1909-16 March 1915) is missing; this period is covered by a typescript created by the Works Progress Administration in 1938, which addresses only the Medical School. From 1973 through 1979, substantial minutes of the executive sessions were created and maintained. This collection contains office files from Keeney’s time as a faculty member and dean of the University of Louisville Medical School as well as resources from various organizations he was involved in throughout his career. These materials include correspondence, committee minutes, case studies, biographical information, and research notes.
