Scope and Contents This collection contains 153.375 linear feet of materials related to or collected by Louisville social justice activist Anne Braden from early childhood until her death in 2006. While the collection includes a significant amount of personal materials from Anne and her husband Carl, the bulk of this material relates to their roles as civil rights activists, including its expression in Anne's writings, teaching materials, and correspondence. Scope and Contents This collection consists a few pieces of correspondence, clippings, and printed material relating to the political career of Emma Smith Ratterman Branch.

Scope and Contents The collection contains an obituary of Dr. Evelyn Bush, two typescript stories by Edward Ellis Bush and an unfinished autobiography of Bush, which he started shortly before he died. There are also several lantern slides, presumably from Dr. Bush's practice, which show men and women doing various back exercises.

Scope and Contents Five clubs of the Business and Professional Women in Louisville, Lexington, and Paducah banded together in 1921 to form the state organization. By the early 1990s, the state federation numbered seventy-five active clubs. Historical records of the Business and Professional Women of Kentucky consist of minutes, publications, financial and membership records of the state chapters, programs, song sheets, and correspondence. Also included are records for the University of Louisville chapter.

Scope and Contents This collection includes World War I servicemen's letters, newspaper clippings of the U of L Women's and Men's basketball games during the years the Butlers were playing, photographs, Charlotte's high school memorabilia, and items from U of L. Included are papers containing University of Louisville memorabilia collected by the Butlers, particularly Charlotte, who attended the University of Louisville from 1912 to 1917 and played on the women's basketball team. Content Description Consists of one scrapbook with clippings and printed material documenting the activities of the Carrollton (Kentucky) Business and Professional Women's Club from 1982 to 1984.

Scope and Contents Ms. Clar's papers are informative concerning the period of her lifetime, especially her early years. Included are school notes from the 1890's and early 1900's, several of her early textbooks from this same period, postcards spanning the period from the early 1900's up into the early 1940's, some correspondence, photographs, articles, and books pertaining to Ms. Clar's life.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of all organizational papers, minutes, financial records, correspondence, mailing lists and conference programs of the Conference on Women's Health Care Issues, Inc., which existed from 1983 to 1993 for the purpose of presenting conferences and other educational forums on women's health care issues.
