Five clubs of the Business and Professional Women in Louisville, Lexington, and Paducah banded together in 1921 to form the state organization. By the early 1990s, the state federation numbered seventy-five active clubs. Historical records of the Business and Professional Women of Kentucky consist of minutes, publications, financial and membership records of the state chapters, programs, song sheets, and correspondence.
