The collection includes student papers, manuscripts, correspondence, reviewers' notes, field and laboratory notes, reports, material relating to the Atomic Energy Commission at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and other university material. There are also oral history interviews with Krumholz in the Oral History Center collection.
The copyright interests have not been transferred to the University of Louisville.

Krumholz obtained a bachelor's degree from the College of St. Thomas and a master's from the University of Illinois. He received his doctorate in zoology at the University of Michigan in 1945 and joined the University of Louisville department of biology in 1957. Krumholz served as director of the Water Resources laboratory from 1967 to 1975. He retired in 1979.
