These business records of the Rebecca and Mary Shoppe for the period 1942-1947 were found in the basement of the Brown Building at Fourth and Broadway. This women's clothing shop was located in the building, at that time known as the Brown Hotel. Rebecca Aldridge and Mary K. Shuster were the proprietors.
The copyright interests in the Rebecca and Mary Shoppe Records have not been transferred to the University of Louisville.
