Internal evidence indicates that University of Louisville President Raymond Asa Kent collected typescripts and galley proofs of Kentucky authors in the 1940s. Dean of Libraries Wayne S. Yenawine also added manuscript material, including a group of single items purchased in 1966. Other manuscripts are associated with the purchase of the remaining stock in Jerrold Nedwick’s Book Store after the Chicago book dealer’s death in 1966. When known, sources are included with their catalog entries.
