The collection contains two scrapbooks of clippings documenting Kenneth Bott's childhood, youth, and young adulthood. Most of the clippings concern his participation in amateur athletics in the Louisville area and his career as a student athlete at the University of Louisville in three varsity sports, basketball, baseball, and football. Also included are extensive athletic memorabilia such as game ticket stubs and programs. A small amount of material documents Bott's public schooling and his military service in India during World War II. There are also some family photographs.
In addition to playing for U of L, Bott played baseball for the Messick's Miniatures, an amateur team sponsored by a Methodist Sunday school. Bott's team participation took place in the 1920s and 1930s. He graduated from U of L in 1932. He later became president of the C&S Supply Company.
