The collection contains playbills, clippings, and memorabilia from Louisville at the turn of the twentieth century. Included are items from Macauley Theatre and Temple Auditorium. Also present are a 1901 typing textbook; a 1900 commencement program from the Louisville College of Pharmacy; and a 1901 program printed for opening day at the Churchill Downs spring racing meet. Newspapers and newspaper clippings include: a Christmas anniversary issue of the Pikeville (Ky.) Mountain Monitor, 1890; and articles from the Louisville Courier-Journal concerning World War I, the trial of alleged conspirators in the assassination of Kentucky Governor William Goebel; and the postwar Versailles Conference. The collection also contains some personal photographs.
