The Kentucky Medical Historical Research Project of the WPA transcribed sources on medicine in Kentucky datinq from the early nineteenth century to 1937. The staff copied excerpts from defunct small town newspapers, out-of-print bioqraphical encyclopedias, county histories, scrapbooks, letters, other manuscripts, oral history interviews, extracts from reqionally published nineteenth century medical journals, and many other sources.
