Biographical / Historical

Joan Titley Adams, a native of Corinth, Mississippi, was Director of the Kornhauser Health Sciences Library from 1960 to 1978. She graduated cum laude with a degree in English from Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee in 1952 and her MSLS from the University of Illinois in 1953. A noted medical historian and bibliographer, she was the recipient of many awards in her field. She published over 25 articles during her career and was active in many library and history of medicine organizations. She died in Louisville in 1986.
