Robert Palmore Thomas (1891-1970) was born in Larue County, KY. He received his early education at Louisville Military Training School and afterwards went to the University of Kentucky. Thomas obtained his professional training from the Louisville College of Dentistry. He practiced in Louisville at the Heyburn Building. During his career, Dr. Thomas was active in several professional organizations including the Kentucky State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Kentucky State Board of Dental Examiners and the National Association of Dental Examiners. At various time he served as president of the KSDA, secretary of the ADA and chairman of the KY State Board of Dental Examiners.
