Biographical / Historical

Glenn Thomas Huntsman grew up in Scottsville, Kentucky. He graduated from Scottsville High School as co-valedictorian in 1936. He entered the University of Louisville that same year and after two years of study transferred into the UofL Dental School, from which he graduated in 1942.

He served as a dental officer with the U.S. Army from 1942-1946, serving in England, France, Belgium, and Germany with a medical unit attached to the 755th Railway Shop Battalion. After his military service, he married Elena Audeen Meador (1946) and they had two children (Mark 1947 and Martha 1952).

Dr. Glenn T. Huntsman practiced dentistry in a solo practice in Scottsville from 1946 to 1974 when his son joined the practice. Dr. Glenn Huntsman retired in 1986 and passed away in 2003, while his son maintained the practice until his retirement in 2013.
