Scope and Contents

The papers consist primarily of materials related to Miss Beem's retirement in 1961; Commonwealth of Kentucky and Medical Library Association certification materials; biographical materials and photographs; and an address given to the Kentucky Association of Trial Attorneys. Also of interest is a chronology entitled "Highlights of the Medical School Library, 1935-1961."

Images, consisting mostly of negatives, of University of Louisville events and people. Includes photographs of special visitors to the university and a few images of buildings. These photographs were taken by Tom Fougerousse, the University of Louisville's staff photographer.

Human Resources policies and procedures and its antecedent, the Staff Handbook, from the former University Personnel Services. These materials were created to ensure that all University of Louisville employees were informed of their rights, privileges, benefits, and obligations, and they were intended to work in tandem with the Redbook and other university policies and procedures.
