Four binders and two loose photographic prints featuring historic buildings, structures, and views of Louisville. One binder contains primarily reproductions of photographs, with a few reproductions of prints. A second binder consists primarily of photographic reproductions of prints. Two other binders contain photographs taken during the construction of the "Big Four" bridge. Dates given are for the original photographs and prints; it is unclear when the copies were made.

"This index to the Louisville Courier-journal is the product of the ... staff of the Louisville Free Public Library from September 1917 through September 1977." Five additional reels were filmed in 1986 to include the index from 1977 to 1986.
