Loring's papers include published works, photographs, a resume, graduate material, and newspaper clippings. His study of the Zeeman Effect is documented. There is one file relating to his association with the Oak Ridge Institute of Nuclear Studies. Also included are photographs documenting experiments and experimental results, and the Ohio River flood of 1937.
Lantern slides, glass negatives, and book plates relating to Harvey Lovell's botanical research, along with research notes and other materials created by Harvey B. and Ethel Weeter Lovell. Materials related to Ethel's participation in the University of Louisville Rifle Club, including aterials include membership cards, used targets, a photograph of the Rifle Club members, newspaper clippings, and correspondence.
The collection contains Mallalieu's research notes and teaching material relating to his unpublished histories of Louisville and the University of Louisville.
The John Manning papers consist primarily of notes relating to lectures in the classes he taught at the University of Louisville in areas such as public finance, personnel management and economic history. The collection also includes material he produced in his service to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and material on local governments. Also included are commencement materials from 1977 and 1978 and a copy of his master's thesis, Reconstruction in Kentucky.
The notebooks are from Middleton's student days at Johns Hopkins University; the text, College Biology, vol. I and II, is a college biology texbook written for a course taught at the University of Louisville.
This collection consists primarily of materials from Mary Ann Millet’s time at the University of Louisville. It includes office records of the Kent School of Social Work as well as professional and personal files compiled by her. The materials also consist of information on accreditation, curriculum, faculty meetings, and notes she took in preparation for a history of the Kent School, which was never written. There is one folder of restricted student information.
