Snapshots, most taken - presumably by Louis Holmes - during the 1940s. The images document Holmes' experiences as a student at the University of Louisville during World War II, and his time at the University's Dental School following the war. Betty Smith photographs

Betty Smith attended the University of Louisville in the 1930s and belonged to Pi Beta Phi sorority. These seventeen snapshots were found in a photograph album belonging to Smith by her daughter and donated to the University Archives and Records Center in May 2009. They are labeled and date from 1936 and 1937.
