David Williams is a local activist, writer and artist. He is interested in the older homes in Louisville and the surrounding area and has done research and writing on such homes. These papers are the result of his research. He has donated copies of these works to other repositories as well as to the University Archives and Records Center.

Scope and Contents The Williams Nichols collection contains books, manuscripts, photographs, audiovisuals, and realia collected primarily by Louisville activist David Williams. David Williams began collecting in 1982 and in 2001 donated the Williams Nichols Collection to the University of Louisville. He continues to add materials on a regular basis.
