Records contain newsletters, clippings, a recruiting proposal, fact sheets and press releases. The material documents the BSU's effort to persuade the university to expand academic course offerings, financial aid, and tutorial programs. It also documents a subsequent confrontation and occupation of a university building and the arrest, expulsion and reinstatement of some of the participants.

This collection consists mainly of published materials such as newspapers, newsletters, and flyers relating to the New Left and its causes in the 1960s. There are some non-published materials such as membership lists and Denk's own papers. The majority of these materials are from national or regional groups, rather than local organizations. A microfilm of his anti-war scrapbook is also available in Archives and Special Collections.
Consists of a 1938 letter from University of Louisville Music School student nicknamed "Boots" to a Navy sailor, Joseph Brook Gibson of Monticello, Kentucky. The letter provides insight into university student life and pre-World War II pop culture and is explicated by the accompanying spring 2012 student paper, authored by Shelley Gibson.

His participation in theatrical productions, including opera, are documented through photographs and programs. His post-collegiate involvement with the Kiwanis Club is captured in Kiwanis programs, newsletters, and related correspondence.
