Scope and Contents This document is a reminiscence authored by Jean Brandeis Tachau describing visits to Louisville by her uncle, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Brandeis, the growth of interest in classical music in Louisville, and Tachau's role in social welfare activities including the birth control movement. Tachau, the wife of Charles G. Tachau, lived in Louisville all her life. She was an active volunteer in many social causes and was also an amateur pianist who loved music. Tachau also remembers...
