Consists primarily of game films from University of Louisville football games. These films were shot for coaching purposes rather than for broadcast, so they focus on offense, defense, or special teams performance - rather than following the game straight through. There are also a few films of "clinics."
Game masters, season review, and coaches' film for football games. Formats include both VHS and various types of DV, including miniDV and DVC Pro. Tapes in boxes 1-5 and box 9 are DV Pro; tapes in boxes 6 and 7 are miniDV; tapes in boxes 10-12 are VHS; box 13 contains a variety of formats.
11 reels that highlight changes in basketball uniforms and playing style. An earlier description included additional items that were not found as of 2020: films of basketball games with Evansville (1947-1948); Eastern (1947); Manhattan (1955 NIT game); "Spotlight on UofL Sports" (highlights of UL/UK 1959 NCAA game, 1956 NIT games and 1948 NAIB). The U-matic tape of highlights was created from 16mm film, May 27, 1993.
This group of basketball films dates from 1972 to 1988 and includes 1972 NCAA games, Missouri Valley Conference games, and other, miscellaneous games, as well as a single videotape of the Denny Crum Show from 1987. Included are several unidentified films and videotapes.

Football game videotapes. Includes January 1991 Fiesta Bowl. These tapes are not broadcast copies of games, but are rather rough footage of offensive and defensive plays filmed by athletics staff for post-game coaching reviews.
