These papers concern the establishment of the Southern Police Institute and the National Crime Prevention Institute. The materials include reports, budgets, correspondence, and publications. A second set of materials, received in 2008, consist of teaching aids for his classes, manuals for police instruction, brochures for the Southern Police Institute (SPI), and other records.
The collection includes student papers, manuscripts, correspondence, reviewers' notes, field and laboratory notes, reports, material relating to the Atomic Energy Commission at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and other university material. There are also oral history interviews with Krumholz in the Oral History Center collection.
Included are class syllabi and Parker's lecture notes from his career at both Kentucky Southern College (KSC) and Berea College. There are also records from the KSC Alumni Association and newsclippings about Kentucky Southern. The collection also has copies of the KSC yearbook, the Photopheron, for the years 1966 to 1968, and KSC catalogs from 1966 to 1969. There is also a vinyl 33 1/3 recording entitled "Our Tour" by the KSC Choir, documenting their statewide tour.
The Patrie collection contains three audio tapes made by Dr. Milton Patrie on the history of the University of Louisville. They are: 1. Mad Minerva, 2. a program with local media personality Milton Metz, circa 1972, on cable TV; 3. the historic home Gardencourt as a continuing education center.
