Content Description Letters written by Clarence Curbow to his mother during his service in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Curbow was stationed in Tokyo. The letters date from June 1945 to May 1946; only two letters were written prior to "Victory over Japan" or "VJ" day.

Scope and Contents This small collection includes just four series and six folders. Samples of her poetry are tucked inside a Dun & Bradstreet Operations Folder. By far the largest amount of material stems from her World War II correspondence with five different soldiers, at least two of whom appeared to become serious beaux.
