This collection contains biographical information pertaining to Dr. Clay, a publications list, group photos of two residency classes and the medical student trip to Eli Lilly, original manuscripts and reprints of articles, continuing education information, course materials for classes he taught at UofL, and a medical bag with his initials, containing mostly 1950s drug samples and some instruments, including WWII medical officers canvas instrument roll.
Felix Coblens was the winner of the annual prize for the best notes on the lectures of Professor Lunsford P. Yandell Jr for the 1874-75 session of the University Of Louisville Department of Medicine. The leather bound volume contains a considerably condensed version of Dr. Yandell’s presentations on therapeutics, and occupy 456 pages, plus an index.
