James Clayton’s record of the lectures delivered by the Professors of the Medical Department of Transylvania Medical School 1824-1825.
Felix Coblens was the winner of the annual prize for the best notes on the lectures of Professor Lunsford P. Yandell Jr for the 1874-75 session of the University Of Louisville Department of Medicine. The leather bound volume contains a considerably condensed version of Dr. Yandell’s presentations on therapeutics, and occupy 456 pages, plus an index.
This collection contains a portable hemoglobinometer (measuring device of hemoglobin blood concentration) dated 1919, purchased from Theo. Tafel Surgical Instruments, Lou KY; and a hemocytometer (two glass slides in red case which are used to count blood cells).
This three-quarter life size sculpture of Dr. Cole was created by artist Griffin Chiles, and presented to the Kornhauser Library by the University of Louisville School of Medicine Class of 1944.
