This collection was compiled by Louisville's noted cardiologist Emmet F. Horine on a variety of medical topics related to memphosis or surgical anesthesia. The collection is organized alphabetically by subject and there is an index, as well as correspondence, microfilm of pamphlet file, and programs from Kentucky State Medical Association from 1935 to 1960.

This material consists of typewritten notes on or for his lectures on electrocardiography at the University of Michigan around 1947. There are more than 250 pages of typed notes and perhaps 1,000 illustrations on a separate reel.
