Civil War era medical instrument collection

Scope and Contents This collection of medical instruments includes a Lebenswecker, large brass lancet, small lancet in case, silverplate bleeding bowl inscribed W.J. Baird, bone saw with black handle, horse-shoe tourniquet, Johnson and Johnson aseptic guaze in package, and a set of bone cutting forceps marked Charriere-Paris.
