This scrapbook consists of a collection of newspaper articles on the Louisville Colonels.
A scrapbook consisting primarily of newspaper clippings relating to the Louisville Colonels baseball team and a loose team photograph. Includes clippings focusing on Pee Wee Reese following his move to the Brooklyn Dodgers. The scrapbook's contents appear to date from 1939 to 1941; the loose photograph is from 1944.
The collection contains scrapbooks, photographs, trophies, fiscal records, player statistics, speeches, clippings, and writings by William L. Grubbs, organizer of the Messick's Minuatures team. An interview with Grubbs is included in the Louisville and Nashville Railroad oral history interview project in the University of Louisville Oral History Center collection.
