David Williams is a local activist, writer and artist. He is interested in the older homes in Louisville and the surrounding area and has done research and writing on such homes. These papers are the result of his research. He has donated copies of these works to other repositories as well as to the University Archives and Records Center.
Woolsey's papers consist of a small amount of correspondence and a speech, copies and drafts of feature articles, reporters notes, reference materials on African Americans in Kentuckiana (i.e., the areas of Kentucky and Indiana in the Louisville metropolitan area) and miscellaneous newsclippings.
