This collection consists of two framed oil portraits, one each of Esther Abram Flexner and Moritz Flexner, and a charcoal rendering of the former, all circa 19th century.
The material includes an autobiography of Frederick; information on old homes in Jefferson County; cemeteries, marriages; land sales; family histories; historical topics including Old Louisville, floods and markets. Frederick's notes concern local history from 1780 to the 1950s. An additional scrapbook, covering Louisville churches, was received separately.

The Bill Gatton Highland Park Collection includes a town property ledger book (1890s); a 1982-1992 run of the Reporter; neighborhood association records,1980-1990s; and a large collection of personal photographs gathered from many sources, as well as historical documents and memorabilia relating to Highland Park. There are also files documenting opposition to airport expansion as well as documents from the Athletic Club of Highland Park from the 1940s.
