Each volume covers an area or areas within the city, although the approach is not uniform. The East report includes information about specific neighborhoods, while the others provide more general histories of the area. A history, titled "Two Centuries of Urban Development" and authored by local historian Carl Kramer, constitutes a large portion of the South/Central report....
