This collection consists mainly of published materials such as newspapers, newsletters, and flyers relating to the New Left and its causes in the 1960s. There are some non-published materials such as membership lists and Denk's own papers. The majority of these materials are from national or regional groups, rather than local organizations. A microfilm of his anti-war scrapbook is also available in Archives and Special Collections.
Family memorabilia, U of L Medical School yearbook for 1909 and photographs from the Ennis' time as a medical student, including a shot of Ennis and some of his classmates posing with their anatomy cadaver. Ennis was a member of Phi Chi faternity while in medical school, and there is material that documents that involvement. He graduated in 1909.
These papers document Salem Ford's athletic interests at Male High School and at the University of Louisville through photographs and scrapbooks (created using stenographers' notebooks). The collection also contains photographs documenting Ford's experiences during World War I, and images of the Ford family. Also included is a typescript copy of "Reminiscences of S.H. Ford, Capt. CSA, 1861-1865."
Collection includes four notebooks created by Gladys Franklin, born Evans, while attending the University of Louisville in the 1950's and 60's.
Consists of a 1938 letter from University of Louisville Music School student nicknamed "Boots" to a Navy sailor, Joseph Brook Gibson of Monticello, Kentucky. The letter provides insight into university student life and pre-World War II pop culture and is explicated by the accompanying spring 2012 student paper, authored by Shelley Gibson.
