Phi Kappa Tau records and memorabilia

Content Description A collection of scrapbooks, pledge manuals, photographs, paddles and other memorabilia from the Beta Beta (University of Louisville) chapter of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. The Beta Beta chapter was founded in 1947. Many of these materials were acquired in conjunction with the chapter's 50th anniversary, in 1997.

Includes the October 30, 2015 protest of President James Ramsey and his office following a staff party in which Ramsey and other UofL employees dressed in stereotypical sombreros and mustaches and he in a poncho. Also includes September 8, 2017 march in support of DACA (Deffered Action for Childhood Arrivals) as the UofL community joined nation-wide protests.
