William H. Merry student notebook

Scope and Contents The notes in this carefully illustrated album were taken by Dr. Merry from lectures on surgery delivered by Professor of Surgical Pathology and Operative Surgery, Richard O. Cowling (1839-1881) from October 1875 through February 1876 at the UofL Department of Medicine. Dr. Cowling gave a prize annually to the student who prepared the best notes on his lectures.
