Scope and Contents

These papers document the University of Louisville women's basketball team between 1913 and 1916 and the graduation of the 1916 liberal arts class. The papers originally consisted of a bound journal, 1913-1914, which held photographs, clippings, and cartoons by McCallum; a scrapbook, circa 1913-1916; and a graduation book, 1916.

5 photographs and 2 newspaper clippings documenting UofL womens basketball in the 1960s. One photo is of Susan Rose and mens star basketball player Wesley Unseld. There is also an undated “Play Day” schedule of intercollegiate regional college/university extramural womens basketball games sponsored by the Womens Recreation Association of Centre College in Danville, KY where UofL women played. Ms. Rose played womens basketball at UofL in the 1963-67 years.
