This is volume 2 only (pages 313-661) of the minutes of the First Presbyterian Church of Louisville, Kentucky dating from December 1874 to April 1875. Nearly all of the minutes concern the Wilson controversy. History: The First Presbyterian Church was embroiled in a controversy over its pastor, Samuel R. Wilson, in the mid-1870's. The faction which attempted to oust Wilson called themselves the church's Board of Trustees. The disputants established rival First Presbyterian Churches and sued in civil courts over the original church property. The case was taken to the Kentucky Court of Appeals in 1878 and decided in favor of the anti-Wilson group. Microfilmed by the University of Kentucky.
