Jeremiah D. Donovan (1836-1920) was born in Cornishville, Kentucky. He was an 1866 graduate of the Kentucky School of Medicine. He practiced medicine in Johnsonville, Cornishville, and Antioch, Kentucky before moving to Moultrie County, Illinois where he lived until his death in 1920. He had 14 children, eleven living to adulthood. Seven of his eight sons became physicians (the other a lawyer).
Roscoe P. Donovan (1885-1955) was the son of Dr. J.D. Donovan. He was a 1906 graduate of the St. Louis College of Physicians and Surgeons. He practiced in and around Vermilion and Moultrie Counties in Illinois. He had no children.
