Edward L. Elrod was born 19 Feb 1860, the son of Eli and Lewana Jane Dudley Elrod. He married Mary A "Mamie" Poindexter on October 28, 1888 in Clark County, Indiana. He graduated from the UofL Department of Medicine in 1888 after attending two sessions. His preceptors were Dr. W.E. Wisner of Henryville, IN and Dr. Benjamin F. Stalker of New Providence. Dr. Elrod practiced medicine in Henryville until his death on January 28, 1908.
William E. Wisner was born Dec 2, 1832 in New York, the son of Henry and Jane Thorne Wisner, both of Pennsylvania. He married Mary M. Jackson on June 21, 1866 in Clark County, Indiana. Dr. Wisner graduated from the Cincinnati College of Medicine and Surgery in 1870. He practiced in Henryville, Indiana for some time, then moved to Columbus, Indiana around 1890, where he died on Feb 8, 1923.
