This collection is comprised of material concerning the estate of Floyd Kinsolving who died on or about the 5th day of May, 1942. According to his Last Will and Testament (copies are in the first folder) all of his property and possessions were to be left to his wife Josie H. Kinsolving. But, in the event of her not living at the time of his death "... I will bequeath and devise all my said property..., one half () to the Curators of the University of Missouri, and one half () to the University of Louisville, (Kentucky), for the use and benefit of the Medical Department of the Said University of Louisville, to be used in the advancement and development of the Science of Medicine by the Said Department of the Said University of Louisville."
Among the material included in this collection are the Inventory and Appraisal of the Kinsolving Estate; legal petitions, put forth by the Kinsolving children, concerning the validity of the will; extensive correspondences between the law firm of Oliver and Oliver and their clients, the Universities of Missouri and Louisville; and various newspaper clippings.
Copyright has been transferred to the University of Louisville and there are no additional restrictions
